THE CREW

Patrick is our guide, he has found the route from Estepona to Seville and guided us on our walk last year. Patrick never get's lost, he is a great guide. He goes out with his hiking group at least two times a week on great walk in the area around Gaucín and Ronda, he is so fit. He will be walking with his dog Dido, who is so fare the most sponsered dog of all. GO DIDO GO!

Dietmar is German, but he lives in Estepona, he is going to come with his Camper Van as a support vehicle. He's going to be the one to take care of the walkers, prepare the food and make sure they got everything they need. He will help us in everything; he's a real handy man! Dietmar likes walking, but not too fare!

Johanna is Austrian, she lives near Estepona.  She has been with ADANA for over 6 years. She is organizing everything, or trying too!  She will be driving the support car with the doggie trailer, but she is still hoping to be able to walk as much as possible!

 

THE WALKERS

Andrea Seiler is coming with 3 of her dogs, Filou, Luca and Tula, they are going to walk all 7 weeks! As you can see in the pictures, they have quite some experience in great trips!
Andrea is German, but she Lives in Norway.

Silvia is Spanish/Catalan, she is going to walk the Camino with her dog Artis. She loves nature and animals, and though she is the youngest of the 7 week walkers, she brings all the enthusiasm to participate in this project. It’s a big adventure for her. Very brave Silvia!

Jacqui is going to walk all seven weeks with Rambo, they are already training together. Jacqui is from the UK, but she lives in Estepona.  She also goes hiking a lot with Patrick, you can see she's fit!

Karen is going to walk all seven weeks with Perrie. She comes all the way from the United States to join us on the Camino! She is doing some serious training in the USA!

Emel is also going to walk all seven weeks, she has allready done the Camino from Pamplona to Santiago.
Emel is originally from Turquia, but has grown up in Germany. She is going to walk with Volver.

Stuart is going to walk all seven weeks with Uno. They both are as fit as can be. Stuart has already walked with us from Seville to Estepona and he has done many long distance walks. Start is English, but lives in Marbella. He, Jacky, Mike and Patrick walk a lot together!

Mike spent a career in advertising, most recently in Japan. In 2005 he and Chrissie, his wife, built a modest home near Estacion Gaucin from where he walks regularily with the local Gaucin enthusiasts. Having now had two rescue dogs as pets, the walk to Santiago is a way of repaying the pleasure and happiness they have both brought to our lives. Mike is 56 in February.

David will be walking with Kimo for all seven weeks! David lives in England and in Spain.  He and his wife Jenny have been ADANA volunteers for many years.  Kimo is so lovely, that Jenny is already worried that they are going to end up with another dog!

Nina comes from Germany to walk with us. She will be walking week 7 with Luca

 


Annie and Oscar are going to walk together on week 5.
Annie is from the UK, but she lives in Marbella, she has got two lovely rescue dgs from ADANA.

Kieran is going to walk with Mario on week 2 and 3. He and his wife Marian come all the way from Australia to walk with us

Luisa is from Estepona, she is going to walk with Moro on week 4.

Nora is from Santiago de Compostela, she is going to walk with Knockout on week 4, and she will be also coming for the last 3 days to guide us into her city!

Ana Jesús and Choni live in Marbella. Ana Jesús is a volunteer from the local animal protection association Triple A.  She walks the dogs there every Saturday, so they should be well trained, they are coming to join us for week 4.

Nuria lives in Marbella and she will walk week 4 on the Camino with Wanda. She has adopted Wanda from the local animal protection association Triple A. They do lot's of walks together and Wanda always finds the right way when Nuria leaves the trail and gets lost.

Andrea Scheithe (the third Andrea in the group!) and her Bobby are going to walk week one, from Estepona to Sevilla. They live in Tenerife

Nero and Maria Santa are coming with us on the second week. Maria Santa is Spanish and lives on the Costa del Sol.

Mike is going to walk week 7 with Moro. Mike comes from the UK, he's an old school friend of Patrick, the have not seen each other in 40 years!

Jeannette is coming from the UK to walk with Oscar on week 7.

Ellen comes from Germany to walk with us.

 

 


Andrea planned to come all 7 weeks with her dog Wenzel, but then he got sick, so now she is only coming two weeks and without Wenzel.

Stefan is coming with Joy and Moa on week 1, he will walk with Moro

Joy is going to walk with Oscar on week 1. She and her family just moved to Spain from Tanzania.  They are originally from Sweden.


Moa is going to walk with Knockout on week 1. They allready made great friends and train together. Moa is our youngest walker, she is only 14, but she is a great walker! Brave girl!

 

 


Monika will be walking with Mario on week 1. Monika is from a German Family, but was born and grown up in Tanzania. She now lives in Marbella. She is an ADANA volunteer.

Uschi will be walking the second week of the Camino with her dog Chetta.
Chetta lived in the kennels before she adopted her.
Uschi is a committee member of ADANA and  the animal Welfare Officer.

Erika is coming from Austria to walk with Tula on week 3, she works for Animal Spirit in Austria.

Gerhard, Erika's husband, from Austria as well, will be walking with Luca on week 3

She's done a lot of walking on the Canaries Islands with Johanna.

Ana Isabel: I'm from Madrid, and I have two dogs, one of them adopted, but I will do the Camino with a dog from ADANA. I'm glad to be able to do my part to create awarness.

Robbie is coming from the UK to walk to Santiago with Mario on our last week.

Yvonne, Robbie’s wife will be walking week 7 with Tula.

Petra is from Austria, she will be walking week 6 with Moro.

Sandra Bogner, Perta's friend also Austrian, will walk week 6 with Oscar.

Volker is coming from Germany, he will be walking with Harpo on week 1.

Annie Bennet will be walking with Moro on week 3. Annie is from the UK, but she also lives in Spain.
Pat's English but has lived in Barcelona so long it's her home.  She did part of the Camino Aragonés last summer and is looking forward to doing a bit of La Plata with company- and having practised more!

Maite is half German, but she has always lived in Spain. She lives in Mallorca and she will be coming either with her father Jesús or her mother Ingrid. They have not decided yet.

Ingrid is a great walker, she has crossed the Pyrenees from the east to the west walking on her own and back and she cycled thru 3 South American Countries on her own as well. She get's away whenever she can. And she loves nature. She now lives with her family in Menorca, before they have lived over 25 years in Ibiza.

Jesús loves the mountain bike. He goes out on it whenever he can, he likes walking as well, and even though Menorca seems small, it offers a lot of possibilities. But he often goes away to othe places as well.
